Pigeon Shooting

Package A

For pigeon shooting, each guest will need an up to date shotgun certificate and their own insurance. You will need to bring these with you on the day with your gun, cartridges, decoy equipment and suitable clothing.

The client must provide their own equipment and must have some experience of pigeon shooting. The team will be more than happy to share their knowledge with you if required, making your day a day to remember.

Package B (Fully Guided Day)

Each guest will need an up to date shotgun certificate and their own insurance. You will need to bring these with you on the day with your gun and cartridges. We will supply all of the required equipment and one of the team will look after you throughout the day.

Package C (The Beginner)

Each guest will need insurance, which can be provided by Home Counties Sporting (Southern) Limited if required. This would be at an additional cost.

You can also hire a gun and buy cartridges from us. We will provide all the equipment for the day; All you will need to bring is yourself and the appropriate clothing. If you’re unsure what to wear please contact the us. You will have a member of the team with you to guide you throughout the entire day.

As you may be aware, the wood pigeon is a wild bird and we can’t always guarantee big bags, however, please rest assured that the team will do their best to ensure you have the most successful Shoot Day possible.

Permits for overseas Clients wishing to bring their own gun will require a six week lead time. Cost to be advised on application

Lunch

Lunch on the day can be brought to the hide if you wish, or if you would prefer to take a break, we can have a buffet brought to the field and laid out on a table. Please let the team know if you have any dietary requests. Lunch will be charged as extra, prices vary depending on the option requested.

Summary

Our pigeon shooting days are based around decoying birds, and roost shooting is available at certain times of year. We shoot pigeons year-round and depending upon the time of year, we may start early in the morning and finish early or start late and finish late, due to the length of daylight.

We may have up to 6 guns on the day so it may take the team a little while to set you up, but please bear with us. Once you’re set up in the hide we will leave you to enjoy your day, whilst the team go about their day keeping the pigeons on the move. We will be in regular contact with you, and if necessary, we will move you during the course of the day to give you the best opportunities.

Home Counties Sporting (Southern) Limited shoot all year round for pigeons but we do advise any clients coming from overseas to contact us in advance.  Pigeon shooting is very much dependent on the weather and conditions.

When it comes together, Pigeon shooting can be one of the most exciting days shooting you could ever have.
